Mission:

The Mississippi Headwaters Audubon Society is a nonprofit organization with a mission to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife and their habitats. Help us to protect the natural legacy of north-central Minnesota by becoming a MHAS member today.

What We Do:

Manage a 466 acre preserve called the Neilson Spearhead Center
Host a nature camp called "The Young Naturalist Program" each summer where kids get a hands-on nature experience!
Host educational events to connect people with nature
Advocate for local conservation of important habitats and ecosystems

We collaborate local with like-minded organizations. These partnership s are essential to our mission.
