MHAS LOCAL CHAPTER MEMBERSHIP
Being a 'local chapter member' of the Mississippi Headwaters Audubon Society (MHAS) helps us improve trails and facilities at the Neilson Spearhead Center & Preserve (NSC), expand programs like our Young Naturalist Program, and offer educational events and activities to MHAS members and the surrounding community. All your contributions are used for programs servicing our local chapter members and local area residents and visitors.

MHAS Local Chapter Members:
- enjoy the trails, forests, bogs and lakes of NSC for free – all year round.
- receive discounts on special MHAS and NSC programs and events.
- receive a digital copy of our newsletter, “The Source”, with information about recent and upcoming activities, field trips, and programs. (If you prefer a hard copy mailed to you, please let us know.)
- MHAS also maintains an active website and Facebook page providing members and the general public information about Chapter activities, events, and news.

MHAS NATIONAL AUDUBON SOCIETY MEMBERSHIP
In addition to your local membership, we invite you to become a member of the National Audubon Society. The National Audubon Society works to protect birds and the places they need throughout the Americas using science, advocacy, education, and on-the-ground conservation. National Audubon membership includes a subscription to Audubon Magazine (this magazine is not included with your local chapter membership).
When you join the National Audubon Society you automatically are registered as a member of your corresponding local chapter, however your National Audubon membership dollars only support national-level programs. Want to make a local impact? All of your MHAS Local Chapter Membership dollars support conservation and environmental programs right here in northern Minnesota.
