Itasca State Park Christmas Bird Count
This holiday season take part in the annual winter bird count at Itasca State park! This event, organized by Itasca State Park, is part of the nationwide Audubon Christmas Bird Count, a 126-year citizen science project organized by the National Audubon Society. Spend a few hours or the whole day at Itasca State Park looking and listening for winter birds. Information collected is used to study the long-term health, status, and movements of bird populations, which supports the development of conservation strategies.
Bird identification experience is necessary to participate. Please contact Itasca State Park Naturalist staff to register.
